THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has deferred by a week league matches across all divisions that were set for today due to national mourning in honour of former Cabinet minister Stephen Manjata who died on Sunday.
MTN Premier League teams were scheduled to play seven Week 24 matches which were postponed from September 22 because of the national mourning in honour of first republican president Kenneth Kaunda's wife Mama Betty Kaunda.
According to circular 09/2013 dated October 16 and signed by FAZ general secretary George Kasengele, the matches would now be played next week on Wednesday.
The other affected matches are Division One Week 28, Division Two Week 17, 19 and 22, Division Three Week 19 and 22 and Lusaka Women League Week 18.
