Zimbabwe: Harare Airport Operating at 20 Percent Capacity

THE Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe has said the Harare International Airport is operating at 20 percent capacity. CAAZ chief executive Mr David Chawota said they had, however, commenced a rehabilitation programme to boost capacity. He was responding to questions on concerns about congestion at the airport during the Sanganai-Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism Africa Fair 2012 Business Exchange Forum yesterday.

"Harare International Airport is currently operating at 20 percent capacity. It's basically an issue of systems and resources and there is need to improve these so as to provide effective service," he said.
