Taita DC Njenga Miiri has appealed to residents to report people suspected to be connected to the Mombasa Republican Council. She said intelligence reports indicate that many youth have been recruited by the group.

Miiri was speaking at a meeting in Wundanyi to raise awareness on the dangers of joining MRC. Miiri said this poses a threat to security in the region. It's suspected the MRC has recently recruited more than 10,000 youth.
