The more than 3 000 new jobs created through the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN)'s financing of enterprises in the previous financial year warrant a revisit of the cynical comments from certain public quarters when the DBN came into existence in 2004.
Doubting Thomases were in unison then in their scepticism on the development bank's capacity to execute its mandate and whether the bank would not simply take the very same route that saw millions of taxpayers' money go to waste.
