NATIONAL champions Eagle Wings play their last Africa club championships classification match against Ndela of Gabon today.
The Kenyan girls (Pool B) and the Gabonese side (Pool A) are the only teams yet to win a game as the 10-day competition cokes to a close this weekend.
The results will determine the 9th and 10th placings following the withdrawal of two DR Congo sides Radi and Arc en Ciel. Hosts Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Angola have each send two teams to the quarter-finals that will also get underway this afternoon with Mozambique and Tunisia having one team each.
The quarters draws pit CS Sfaxien (Tunisia) against Liga Desportiva (Mozambique), First Bank (Nigeria) meet ABC (Ivory Coast), CSA (Ivory Coast) play Interclube (Angola) and First Deepwater (Nigeria) tackle De Agosto (Angola). Eagle Wings, playing in their second championships after Nairobi 2008, went down 47-64 to CS Sfaxien in their opener, lost 45-79 to First Deepwater, went down 48-62 to defending champions Interclube and were crushed 46-66 against ABC.
