Kenya: Women in Tourism Delegates Visit Karura Forest

The Kenya Association of Women in Tourism this week hosted this year's Women in Tourism International Alliance conference in Nairobi.

The event gave women an opportunity to showcase their products. One of the unique sessions of the conference on Tuesday afternoon was tree planting at Karura forest in recognition of the late Prof Wangari Maathai's contribution towards environmental conservation.

The Ecotourism Kenya CEO Kahindi Lekalhaile urged everyone to work tirelessly in conserving the environment in honour of Maathai by planting as many trees as possible.
