Rwanda: FRVB, Imbuto Partner to Fight Malaria

RWANDA Volleyball Federation (FRVB) and Imbuto Foundation have joined hands in organising a tournament which is aimed at fighting Malaria.

The tournament which will be held in three districts namely; Bugesera, Nyanza and Ngoma is scheduled to run from November 17 to December 8 according to FRVB's Executive Secretary Gertrude Kubwimana.

Kubwimana said that the collaboration with Imbuto Foundation is basically aimed at raising the awareness to fight the deadly disease Malaria and it will go a long way to assist the volleyball fraternity in coming up with ideas of curbing out Malaria.

"A healthy society is crucial in developing sports in the country. That is why this organization is putting money in game to raise the awareness in the fight against malaria," said Kubwimana.

Clubs which are set to spice up the tournament include APR, INATEK, UNR, Lycée de Nyanza, GSOB, EWSA, Karongi, KIE, and KVC in the men's category.

The women's category will consist of APR, Ruhango, RRA, INATEK, Rwamagana, Star des Volcans Musanze, Rubavu, Muhanga and IPRC- Kicukiro respectively.
