Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi said that he will form a new constitution-writing assembly if the current one was to fail to have a constitution out by the scheduled time.
The constituent assembly must finish writing a constitution within six months of its formation, according to the Constitutional Declaration issued in March.
Meanwhile, Mursi issued another constitutional decree in August granting himself the right to form a new constituent assembly if the current one was to fail writing a constitution on time.
