Liberia: U.S.$21 Million Needed for Port Expansion

Liberia's leading port is bracing for a new future that looks promising and economically meaningful. The management considers the expansion of the port of Monrovia consequential because of its ability to increase investment and economic growth.

The head of the National Port Authority (NPA) Matilda Parker believes that the project would make Liberia a premier player in the West African region. The need to expand the port is based on a study that takes into consideration current day realities in port management operations.
