The High Court yesterday sentenced Victoire Umuhoza Ingabire to eight years in prison after she was found guilty of genocide denial and conspiracy and planning to cause state insecurity. However, court acquitted the chairperson of the United Democratic Forces (FDU)-Inkingi of other charges of genocide ideology, promoting ethnic divisionism and supporting armed groups.
