Senegal: Demo Africa - Mlouma Takes Senegal Agriculture to the Online Marketplace

In Senegal, there are over 50 million people who in Agriculture. Their main problem, is how to sell their products.

Mlouma is a web and mobile service that connects farmers directly to the agribusiness industry by displaying real-time market price, products and localizations. Using web, mobile, SMS apps and a call center approach to reach maximum no of users.

"Many farmers here prefer to call to sell their product as many cannot read or write," says Aboubacar Sidy Sonko, co-founder, Mlouma. "We use all these different ways to reach more farmers in Senegal, and hope to create a large network, that expands into other Western Francophone countries. "
