IT is every local Member of Parliament's curse. In bad times, for some reason, a Zimbabwean legislator is expected to provide the tonic for all the problems that befall his or her constituency even if it means using resources from his/her own pocket.
Regardless of the MP's financial status, the expectation is that he or she must provide for his/her constituency particularly where central government or local authorities have failed.
