Nigeria: FCT Hospitals Tackling Infertility - Minister

Couples battling with infertility can now seek treatment as infertility at various hospitals across the Federal Capital Territory, Minister of Women Affairs Hajia Zainab Maina has aid.

Speaking yesterday in Abuja during the commissioning of the Abuja clinic of Nordica Fertility Centre, the minister advised childless women to seek treatment in any of the hospitals in the FCT. According to the minister, who was represented by her Permanent Secretary George Ossy, the Abuja clinic of Nordica Fertility Centre will compliment government efforts towards reducing the challenges facing couples.

Earlier the minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, said 20 percent of gynecological cases in hospital records were associated with infertility.
