The 4th annual 2012 BEFFTA awards took place in London last Saturday night 27 October at a glittering Red Carpet ceremony attended by personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts industries around the globe.

Among the stars on the night were Sir Trevor McDonald, singer Lemar, footballer Fabrice Muamba, singer and X Factor star Star-boy Nathan and many more.

Jamaican and Reggae Dancehall star Sean Paul also won in the Best International Caribbean Act.

The winners were decided by internet votes from all over the world and the publicity that Ruff Kid received from the Zambians all over the world helped the eccentric rapper to beat the other nominees in the Best International Act category and walk away with over K 15 million.

Ruff Kid currently riding high on his new single Mu Ghetto thanked his fans through face -book for the votes and support.

"Ba Zambia we have done it, the Best International Act BEFFTA award 2012 goes to us. Thank you all for your votes and support. This is just the beginning...." he said.

And XYZ, the group where Ruff Kid belongs to, has expressed happiness at their fellow members' success.
