Nigeria: Kano Pilgrim Arrested Trying to Abscond in Makkah

Makkah — A pilgrim from Kano state was arrested on Friday by officials of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare while trying to abscond in Makkah, according to the head of publicity committee on the state's hajj operations Alhaji Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu.

The pilgrim, a Fulani Zubairu from Albasu local government was said to be discovered missing after he failed to answer his name which appeared on a list containing other names of pilgrims scheduled to be flown to Nigeria.
