Angola: Federation Candidate to Focus On Staff Training

Luanda — The candidate to the leadership of the Angolan Athletics Federation (FAA), Carlos Rosa, has pledged to focus on the training of timekeepers, creating the national technical council and the standardisation of provincial competitions, in case he is elected on Tuesday.

Carlos Rosa, who is running for re-election, made this pronouncement recently in Luanda at a ceremony in which he presented his electoral programme.

He also intends to revive the veteran athletes committee, besides mobilising the coaches to work together for the development of this sport.

Other important points of his programme are the assessment and restructuring of the competitions general regulation, co-operating with school sports, as well as bring innovations in the national team, among others.
