Tanzania: Dar es Salaam Steps Up Border Security

PLANS are afoot to install modern devices at major border posts to inspect passengers and cargo entering the country as a measure of beefing-up security, Deputy Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Pereira Ame Silima, has said.

Mr Silima said the world is currently facing security challenges including threats of terrorism and wars in some countries making it necessary to strengthen security locally.
