It was Toyota Kenya's big day at the Company of the Year Awards held at Carnivore grounds in Nairobi last Friday evening, taking home four awards including the coveted Company of The Year award.
The gala dinner, emceed by NMG's Sheila Mwanyingah and Maurice Mugisha, saw the emergence of new entrant companies such as Love Trust and Githunguri Dairy Co-operative. Pan Africa Life CEO Tom Gitogo took home the CEO of the year award.
In memorable tribute, the organisers introduced the Kirit Dave award in honour of the late Kisumu businessman. He was eulogised as a proud Kenyan and a great inspiration to many.
In attendance were chief guest Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa, his Transport counterpart Amos Kimunya, NMG boss Linus Gitahi, KIM CEO David Muturi, outgoing KCB chairman Peter Muthoka and Ministry of Roads PS Michael Kamau. Calabash Band made sure the music was great for song and dance.
