Sudan: Warrap Parliament Passes U.S.$60 Million 2011/12 Budget

Juba — The parliament of South Sudan's of Warrap State voted unanimously to pass a budget amounting to around US$60 million for 2012 and 2013 on Monday, in which capital expenditure has been drastically cut, according to legislators and senior government officials.

Moses Madot Dut Deng, Speaker of the Warrap State Legislative Assembly told Sudan Tribune that he commended MPs for passing the budget in its "entirety", describing the endorsement of the budget "a demonstration of good judgment and sense of responsibility and living up to obligation for which members were elected by the electorates".
