Tunisia: 'Democratic Transformation Has Not Been Yet Complete in Tunisia' Says Walles

Tunis — On the occasion of the US presidential elections outcome, the United States embassy in Tunis held On Wednesday a breakfast party which was hosted by US Ambassador in Tunis Jacob Walles and attended by some National Constituent Assembly (NCA) members, political opposition figures, civil society activists and journalists.

The American official hailed the Tunisian Revolution and the free and fair elections Tunisia held on October 23, 2011 stressing that "the democratic transformation has not been yet complete in Tunisia" and adding that there are "many challenges to democracy in Tunisia".
