Egypt: Nation, Sudan, Ethiopia Sign Agreement On Water Cooperation

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Bahaaeldin lauded a cooperation agreement inked between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia.

Speaking on Tuesday 6/11/2012, Bahaaeldin termed the preliminary agreement as a "significant achievement".

Under the agreement, the three countries will work on establishing a new mechanism for cooperation in the field of water resources between Nile Basin countries, Bahaaeldin said.

Earlier on Tuesday, Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia signed a historic agreement for cooperation among Nile Basin countries.
