Mombasa-based musician Susumila has refuted claims that he is a member of Illuminati, the secretive society. He also denies killing his mother.

The town is abuzz with rumours that Susumila is a member of the group, leading to a debate in one of the radio stations at the Coast. Susumila's mother, Eunice Wangare, 50, a mother of four, died last week. There are claims that he offered her as a sacrifice to enrich himself since he recently moved into his new house in Kilifi.

"I'm very sad over the issues. Illuminati associates live in copious lifestyles. My enemies don't like seeing me thriving," Susumilla told Word Is.
