Angola: Ombala Chiaca to Undergo Facelift

Chinjenje — The provincial director of Culture in central Huambo province, Pedro Chissanga, announced the upgrading of Ombala Chiaca, Chinjenje district, with a view to providing dignity to the Historic sites in that region.

Pedro Chissanga announced this Wednesday at the end of a visit by a delegation of the provincial department of Culture to the Ombala of Chiaca kingdom.

The project comprises the construction of the palace of the king, (jango) the site to accommodate the chieftains and the mausoleum to place the remains of the former kings as well as 24 other infrastructures of support. The works will begin next year.

On the other hand, upgrading works of Ombala Mbaludo are in progress and the conclusion are set for next year, sunder the guidance of the president of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos.
