Angola: Miss Universe Visits Nation's Embassy in Namibia

Windhoek — Miss Universe, the Angolan Leila Lopes, visited Wednesday the Embassy of Angola in Namibia, as part of her tour to Kenya and Mozambique to promote social work.

Leila Lopes was received by Counsellor Minister, Guido Castelbranco, in representation of the Angolan ambassador to Namibia, Alexandre Manuel Duarte Rodrigues "Kito".

Guido Castelbranco thanked the Miss for her presence who learned of the work performed by the Embassy with stress to the repatriation of the Angolan refugees that are already in the country since June 30 last.

The diplomat announced the return of 36 refugees, who, in the normal period of repatriation had remained in Namibia on his request, due to the several reasons.

In her turn, Leila Lopes, who arrived Tuesday, explained the reason of her tour which consists in supporting the needy.

Leila Lopes' tour of Namibia, Kenya and Mozambique is the last of her mandate set to end in December.
