Nigeria: Second World War Veteran Dies At 96

Lokoja — Second world war veteran, Chief Rowland Osaoloro Oludoyi, has died at the age of 96.

At his funeral on Tuesday in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State, the deputy governor, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, said patriotism, selflessness are key to national development and peaceful co-existence.

Awoniyi said the security challenge facing the nation is surmountable if Nigerians can be patriotic. He called on Kogi State indigenes to join hands with the present administration to develop the state.
