Nigeria: Erosion Sweeps Four-Year-Old Boy Away in Osun

Osogbo — A 4-year-old boy, Abdul-Qadri has been swept away by erosion after a downpour in Osogbo, capital of Osun State.

The sad incident occurred on Sunday, 4th of November at Ife Oluwa Community, Fiwasaye and the body of the victim has not been recovered as at the time of filling this report.

The father of the victim, Mr. Tajudeen Adesina explained that he was coming from his wife shop along with the little boy and his siblings Samahu and Aliya along with their mother at about 11pm.

Adesina stated that while all of them were crossing a gutter Abdul-Qadri mistakenly fell down and they were unable to rescue him as the water pulled him away taking him away in full force.

Police Public Relation Officer for Osun State Police Command Folashade Odoro confirmed the incident and told our correspondent that investigation has commenced on the mater.
