Angola: All Set for Independence Day Celebrations in Namibe - Governor

Namibe — The governor of the south-western Namibe Province, Isaac Maria dos Anjos, said Thursday to ANGOP that conditions are set for the chief town to host the central national ceremony in celebration of the country's 37th independence anniversary, to be marked on November 11.

Isaac dos Anjos called on the citizens of Namibe to participate actively in this Great national feast, whose main act will take place in the Joaquim Morais Municipal Stadium , under the motto "Together we promote the wellbeing of Angolans".

The governor stressed that the occasion will be seized for the executive to manifest its will to continue working hard for the growth of the country, aiming for development.

The main act will be chaired by the country's vice president, Manuel Domingos Vicente, who is scheduled to arrive in Namibe on Saturday.

During his stay in Namibe Province, the vice president will carry out a series of activities, which includes visits to some socioeconomic undertakings.
