Angola: Governor Highlights Importance of Matala in Huíla Province's Development

Matala — The governor of Huíla Province, João Marcelino Tyipingui, on Thursday highlighted the importance of Matala Municipality in the social and economic development of the province, due to its agriculture and industrial potential.

Speaking with members of the municipal hearing and social concert council of Matala, as part of a two-day visit to this locality, the official said that the municipality's potential has to be used for the development of the province.

João Marcelino Tyipingui said that the government will use the Matala's potential to develop with success programmes to fight poverty, through irrigation channels, a dam and the existing industries in the locality.
