Angola: Over 45,000 Citizens in Matala Benefit From 'Water for All' Programme

Matala — The "Water for All" programme under implementation since 2008 has already benefited this year over 45,000 residents of Matala Municipality, in the southern Huíla Province, informed on November 7 the municipal administrator, Miguel Vicente.

Speaking to ANGOP about the benefits of the programme, the administrator explained that people benefit from drinking water through 15 supply systems for homes.

According to the official, the programme is having the desired effects on the communities as they stopped travelling considerable distances in search for the precious liquid.

In addition, Miguel Vicente said that the diseases caused by lack of water decreased considerably as a result of these actions implemented by the government.
