Egypt: Demonstrators Protest Against Salafi Assault On Church Building

Scores of protesters cut off the road at Dawaran Shoubra area on Wednesday evening after several Salafis attacked a church building in Shoubra al-Kheima.

Protesters lifted several banners including "Mursi is not a president for all Egyptians", Aswat Masriya correspondent reported.

Maspero Youth Union announced earlier on Wednesday that it will stage a demonstration to protest against the assault on the building.

A group of Salafis attacked on Monday the Marmina and Abu Sefein Church services building in Shoubra al-Kheima.

They performed al-Ashaa prayer inside the building and hung a sign saying "Ebad al-Rahman" mosque.
