Ethiopia: Prime Minister Hailemariam Meets With U.S. Under Secretary Sherman

Prime Minister Hailemariam held talks with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Wendy Sherman on Wednesday (November 7th).

During their discussions, the Prime Minister expressed Ethiopia's desire to further strengthen existing cooperation with the United States. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in areas of economy, security, human rights and democracy.

Discussing, bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Prime Minister Hailemariam noted that Ethiopia had gained significant support from the US in a number of areas. He expressed his hope that the Under Secretary's visit would further boost the cooperation and the development assistance that the US provides to Ethiopia.

Under Secretary Sherman said that existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries would continue to be strengthened.
