Rwanda: Yanga Tops League Table

YOUNG Africans coach Ernie Brandt is pleased after seeing his team lead the Tanzania Vodacom Premier League as the first round comes to an end this weekend.

The Kagame Cup reigning Champions stretched their winning form under Brandts and sit atop the table standing after beating Azam 2-0 on Wednesday.

The win took the former APR coach's team to 26 points, three ahead of their archrivals Simba.

And now the Dutchman wants his side to finish the first round on top when they visit Coastal Union in Province of Tanga this weekend. Simba host Toto Africans in Dar es Salaam.

"We will go in the weekend match full of confidence and looking for a win. We need to finish top in league," he said.

Yanga's goals were scored by Burundian international Didier Kavumbagu and Ugandan Cranes striker Hamis Kiiza.

Amavubi international players, attacking Haruna Niyonzima and defender Mbuyu Twite have become key figures in Brandt's team.
