Kenya: Missing Man Found Dead in Burst River

The body of a 40-year-old man who has been missing for a week was found in River Rupingazi at Kavorokore in Embu North. Michael Njiru NJoka's family said he could not be traced in their relatives homes and his usual spots.

They reported his disappearance to the police who launched a manhunt and found his body floating in the river which had burst its banks. The body was taken to Embu Provincial General Hospital mortuary.

The police have launched investigations into his death. In another incident, a woman, 60, was killed by a crocodile in a hydroelectricity dam in Mutitu on Tuesday. The police and KWS rangers retrieved the body of Onalata Wanjeru when her family reported her missing.
