Zimbabwe: Khaya Moyo Leads Delegation to Tanzania

ZANU-PF national chairman Cde Simon Khaya Moyo will lead the party's delegation to the 8th Congress of Chama Cha Mapinduzi of Tanzania.

In a statement released yesterday, the party's deputy secretary for External Affairs Cde Abednico Ncube said Chama Cha Mapinduzi invited Zanu-PF together with other former liberation movements in the region and beyond.

The Congress is set to run from November 10 to 12 in Dodoma.

"The party's national chairman Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo will lead the party's delegation and will deliver a solidarity message as the two parties enjoy a special relationship," said Cde Ncube.

Zimbabwe and Tanzania enjoy cordial relations dating back to the liberation struggle.

Tanzania, then under founding president Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, provided rear bases, logistical and material support to Zimbabwe's liberation fighters.
