Egypt: Health Minister - No Plans to Privatize State-Owned Hospitals

Health Minister Mohamed Mostafa Hamed denied press reports which said that the ministry intends to privatize State-owned hospitals.

In a statement, issued by the Health Ministry on Wednesday 7/11/2012, Hamed said that the press reports in this regard were totally unfounded and baseless.

The only way to improve the health services offered to the patient is the comprehensive health insurance project, whose final draft has already been finalized by the ministry and referred to the Cabinet for endorsement, added Hamed.
