SV Laar FC are through to the semi finals of the knock-out championship at the Serekunda East Football field after defeating Zurich by a goal to nil in tough encounter.
SV Laar stunned Zurich to the utmost surprise of a packed mini-stadium.
SV Laar opening goal came in the 36 minute of the first-half when Lamin Fatajoh profited on a poor save by goalkeeper Saidou Manga to tap home which proved the ultimate decider.
Zurich had series of chance to level up but SV Laar kept the onslaughts at bay. Both sides effected changes but score remain unchanged.
In the 64 minutes SV Laar could have doubled the score but wasteful strike force bluntness in front of goal thwarts it all.
On his part SV Laar coach Omar Barrow said he is glad to win this game and his next game in the semis and hopeful to win his remaining games. Both SV Laar and Zurich are playing in league Cup as well.
