A suspected al Shabaab militants members was yesterday charged with terror attacks. Omar Mutungu Idi, who was arrested on Tuesday at Ruaraka in Nairobi is suspected to be linked to the recent grenade attacks in Garissa and Eastleigh in Nairobi.
However, the suspect denied the charge and was remanded at Kilimani police station until November 13 to enable police complete investigations.
Chief inspector Daniel Musangi had asked Mbugua to remanded Idi in police custody for four days to enable police complete investigations.
The magistrate granted prosecution application and ordered the suspect remanded until Tuesday when he will be brought back to court four further direction.
Idi, who appeared before senior principal magistrate Lucy Mbugua, is charged with being a member of the al Shabaab terror group and engaging in crime.
