Gambia take on Italian giants Siena - a match slated for November 14th ahead of a must-win game against the elephants of Ivory Coast in the World Cup qualifiers.
The Gambian side comprising strictly home-based players put four past Wafu Cup finalist Gamtel who started only last Monday.
The crops of homegrown players under Italian Coach Mancini's tent are to blend with Gambia foreign-based invitees in an effort for an establishment of a new-look formidable squad in the future.
Though names of travelling squad is yet to be finalised, the test match with Siena avails Mancini and backroom staff chance to work on the team's weakness before star-packed Ivory Coast comes calling.
Gambia is looking to winning ways after a sluggish start: drawing Morocco and losing to Tanzania.
They will have to win the remaining games to book a place in the World Cup, hence the early training and formation of surrogate national team of local players.
