Kenya: Tobiko Ditches ODM for TNA

ODM Kajiado East parliamentary aspirant Peris Tobiko has decamped from the party and joined The National Alliance. Tobiko is the younger sister to Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko.

"We as politicians do not have permanent enemies, by quitting ODM, it does not mean I have become an enemy," said Tobiko. She said she decided to cross over to TNA because "the party is growing popular." More than 10 aspirant are seeking the parliamentary seat and she is the only woman aspirant.

Tobiko said she is the most qualified because she has a master degree in political science. She accused her male opponents of engaging in "uncivilised" politics.
