The newest release by boy band Sauti Sol is about money and love. The single dubbed Money Lover is an upbeat and alluring song.

According to the release, Money Lover flaunts the band's articulate songwriting skills and storytelling abilities in a story about a young man yearning to decipher love from a lady, whether it's genuine or for the money.

This is an everyday occurrence in the everyday fast material world. Money Lover, a mix between the Kenya oldies sound and Zouk, has been produced by Kenyan award-winning producer R-Kay who also produced "Gentleman" with P-Unit, that won best collaboration of the year at the just concluded Kisima Awards 2012.

Money Lover displays the band's signature harmonies married with rich instrumentals, the guitar compositions standing out.

The band has also been nominated for the 2012 Channel O Music Video awards for Most Gifted Music Video for the song "Shukuru" with AY.
