THE northwestern town of Khorixas will embark on various projects to revive the town’s economy in an effort to counter unemployment and poverty.
According to Eben Xoagub, strategic executive officer for human resources, the council plans to upgrade the water reticulation, sewage and electricity networks and roads in the Donkerhoek informal settlement. It will also survey and service land for low-cost housing, install storm-water drains, establish a new cemetery, fence off the dumpsite and tar streets.
