Namibia: Clean Lungs for Smiley Faces

Nine orphans from the Bishop Kameeta Kindergarten visited Dr SN Amadhila earlier this week for a thorough examination to improve their pulmonary health. Dr Amadhila saw the children as his contribution to the "Laughing Lungs Clinic"', a cooperative initiative between the CSO Aids Orphan Foundation and Hartliefs Continental Meat Products, launched earlier this year.

Dr Amadhila, a well-known Windhoek paediatrician offered his services free of charge to ensure that children with lung problems, severe allergies and other breathing symptoms will get the right health care and medicine while they are still small.

The children visited Dr Amadhila on Tuesday and Wednesday, accompanied by Mrs Anna Fredericks, the caretaker mother at Bishop Kameeta Kindergarten. All nine small patients have presented symptoms indicating possible pulmonary stress.
