Nigeria's Federalism Weakened by One Party Dominance

Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN), has blamed Nigeria's weak federalism and unitary system of government on the continuing dominance of the polity by a single political party.

He said the situation, which has virtually eliminated the opposition parties, now leaves the judiciary as the most important check against a plunge to anarchy.
