Nigeria: Kano to Spend N56 Million On Varsity Students Annually

Kano — The Kano State government will spend over N56 six million annually to sponsor its citizens for degree programme at Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

It was gathered that about 100 students recently secured admission into the university. This is in addition to the over 500 students who were recently sent to different countries for their post graduate programme. Governor Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, who disclosed this during a send forth party for the students, said his administration is paying attention to education to accelerate the growth and development of the state. In a statement signed by his Director Press, Halilu Ibrahim Dantiye, the governor said preparations are on to send another set of 100 students to Bells University also in Abeokuta.
