London — The Chairman of Senate Rules and Business Committee, Senator Ita Enang, has urged the Federal Government to apply the Niger Delta Amnesty model on Boko Haram to solve the security challenges bedevilling some states in the North.
Speaking at an oversight event for students in the UK under the Niger-Delta Amnesty Programme in London, Senator Enang expressed optimism that the amnesty model would solve the security problems poise by the Boko Haram insurgents if implemented effectively.
Earlier, the Chairman, Senate Committee on the Niger Delta, Senator James Manager described the post-amnesty training prog-ramme for people of the Niger Delta as a huge success.
