Lawyers representing dismissed Director of Public Information and Outreach of the National Elections Commission (NEC), have filed a suit for One Million United States Dollars in damages against former NEC Chairman, Mr. James Fromayan at the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Civil Law Court of Montserrado County.

According to a release, the team of lawyers led by Cllr. Sayma Syrenius-Cephus said that the action was necessitated by the deliberate attempt by Mr. Fromayan to malign, besmear and defame Bobby Livingstone's hard earned reputation by making unfounded, baseless and damaging utterances branding Livingstone a 'paid agent' for the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) in an interview on the Voice of America on October 31, 2011 from Accra, Ghana.

Moreover, Bobby Livingstone's lawyers also stated that they are prepared to follow this matter to its logical conclusion to send out a clear message that bosses who wickedly undertake to spread asinine lies and to unleash naked administrative aggression on their subordinates should be prepared to answer to the proper forum, i.e., a court of competent jurisdiction.

The lawyers further noted that because of the calculated ploy of defamation which were cleverly weaved on the altar of treachery and deception by Mr. Fromayan, Livingstone's public image and stature in society as a patriotic, peaceful and law abiding citizen has been substantially hampered; thereby making him to appear unfit, and totally perplexed for which the action of damages is the proper recourse
