Rwanda: Prime Minister Calls On Burera Residents to Fight Against Malnutrition

Today, the Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien Hambumuremyi officiated the closing ceremony of family month campaign in Burera District which was launched on 9th October 2012.

The theme of this year was "sustain families through the promotion of cultural values".

"I call upon residents of Burera to avoid family disputes because those disputes impact national security".

"We recognize the progress made by Burera and Northern Province citizens in agricultural activities, you need to build on that by participating in activities that promote your lives includes fighting malnutrition and paying health insurance". The Prime Minister said

The Prime Minister handed over 15 cows to families in a one cow per family program and children were also given milk and fruits as a sign of fighting against malnutrition.
