Kenya: Father, 52, Held Over Incest

A man suspected to have been defiling his 16-year-old daughter and has sired two children with her in Tana Delta has been arrested.

The man, 52, who lives in Kastangani has allegedly been defiling the girl for three years since 2009 when she was 13. The man was arrested by police at a hideout in Katsangani.

The police had received a tip-off from Joyce Ndawo of Faith Action, Compassion and Transformation, an NGO which under the Mavuno church.

The suspect wa locked up at the Garsen Police station. Tana Delta police boss Richard Mukwate said the man is likely to be charged with incest.
