Libya: Moroccan Girl Kidnapped in Tripoli

A young Moroccan girl is being held for ransom by kidnappers in Tripoli, MAP quoted the unnamed victim's father as saying on Wednesday (November 7th).

The 13-year old and a Libyan friend were abducted by armed men last week as they left their private school. The Libyan girl was later freed.

The deputy consul of Morocco in Tripoli, Abdelhafid Daoudi confirmed that Libyan security authorities had been asked to help "save the life of the young girl".

To show solidarity with the victim's family, a sit-in is scheduled for Thursday outside her school.
