Egypt: Irrigation Minister - Agreement With AU to Foster Mutual Cooperation

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Bahaaeldin arrived in Cairo Thursday 08/11/2012 after a three-day visit to Ethiopia.

Bahaaeldin attended a ministerial meeting of the Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office (ENTRO) and held talks with African Commission officials.

The Minister also signed a cooperation agreement with his Ethiopian and Sudanese counterparts on joint water projects of the three countries as well as a memo of understanding with the Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture of the AU to foster mutual cooperation.
